Several new novels in the works.

Not that I intend on telling much about them, mind you! LOL Except to say that they are related to the one that started this blog off.

Good heavens, it's been a while.

My apologies to all. In reference to the original novel this blog was meant to track, it's been completed, although editing and getting it ready for market is driving me wild. At nearly 184k words (down from a whopping 243k) it is still too long for being likely for publishing.

Current projects:

Capricorn Chronicles: 100% complete, awaiting beta-reader inputs
Regelis Chronicles: 100% complete, on hold
Adelphi Chronicles: 90+% complete, not yet available to anyone, 300+k words
Trouble in Paradise: 100%? complete, very short (about 43k words)

Four other projects haven't really gotten off the ground yet.

Also: New beta-reader instructions: If you want to become a beta-reader (this means a very careful reading, probably multiple times, so beware) you will be requested to report problems with the novels at least every two weeks. Required at least monthly. Right now, too many of my projects are being held hostage by beta-readers who aren't following the guidelines I set back in 2005.

Those who are currently beta-readers, please do email me (above link!) and let me know you're still around.

More Progress...sorta.

The novel is now three novels, one of which is currently only one chapter in length. This was done due to the excessive length (1331 pages) of the overall work, and work continues on tuning.

One of my beta-readers has suggested I separate the works again, telling the story from two, possibly three perspectives in separate novels, but I'm not sure this is feasible at present. The idea remains under advisement. If you're interested in becoming a beta-reader, please be advised that I do expect you to turn in reports! I've several beta-readers who have never turned in reports, and this is, at best, irksome.

Please consider that the novels are not titled at present, and submissions for titles are being asked of beta-readers... the series itself is referred to as "The Flight of the Raven", which certainly fits!

OK, this is weird.

Sorry for the long, long delay on this next report...

Current stats:
three(!) still-unnamed novels, 83 chapters, ~1332 pages (in manuscript format)

Novel 1:
Prologue + forty chapters

Novel 2:
Forty-two chapters, prologue pending

Novel 3:
One chapter (can you tell it's barely a work in beginning?)

Progress? Good or not?

The novel's manuscript is currently at 83 chapters and is in excess of 1100 pages (approximately 560-580 pages as-printed, probably) and is still unfinished. This is a little alarming, admittedly. If you are interested in helping out, hit this link to do so.

I desperately want and need additional beta readers; ones who will actually turn in reports on the chapter files... It would certainly help me find problems with plot or whatever else might be problematic and needs correcting.

However, all that said, there are known problems, including a need to change several characters' names; this is planned as soon as possible.

Questions... possibly with no answers?

Does anyone read these things, other than the two contributors? I sometimes wonder. Anyway, it's easy to become a betareader simply by clicking on the words "betareader" and sending a very short message to us. :) Please do!

Frustrations galore!

While resequencing raw material last night, I discovered not one, but as many as five chapters were seriously out of place. AUGH! Fortunately, I've a contributor/co-author I can dragoon into helping find where the things fit. :eg: Hey, Joe? ;)

In case you wonder what I look like...
